WHAT I DO

I teach moms how to find their centre, reconnect with themselves and infuse meaningful self-care into their life. Through simple and sustainable self-care, proven stress-release and mindset mentoring, the mothers I work with globally are breathing new, calm and joyful life into their motherhood journey.

It's all about shifting away from the belief that the more you do, the more valuable you are. This old paradigm is the underlying reason for so much mental and emotional strain on moms today. I'm here to say: your value isn't in doing more, it's in BEING more of YOU. But, how can you do this when your life is moving so fast, you don't have a minute to take care of yourself...to think, to listen to your body and simply be? It might sound crazy and impossible to slow down, but trust me when I say, it's the least crazy and the most inspiring way, when you learn how.

WHY I DO WHAT I DO

For the past 10 years, I've helped hundreds of women learn the art of self-care and reduce the impact of stress on their overall physical, mental and emotional well-being, as their naturopath. When I became a mom 5 years ago, it became crystal clear just how much harder everything is with all the sleepless nights and the mental and emotional load of managing it all.

I felt drained, had not-so-fun mood swings, pushed through with an achy body and went to bed at night with an unsettled feeling of "I'm not doing enough".

I knew it my gut that I needed to make a change. I would always tell my patients that we need to take care of our bodies so our bodies can take care of us. It was time I took my own advice! So, I dug deep into everything I knew about the art and science of how the body and mind works, collected the most valuable tools I've used with patients to calm stress and anxiety, and made a promise to myself to stick with mindfulness practices everyday. It all turned into a daily flow of strategies that fit into my busy mom-life (because honestly I couldn't handle anything more!).

My energy and mood started to improve and I was beginning to feel like me again. My stress and worry transformed into ease and trust. I felt more centred, connected to myself and others and more confident in the daily decisions I had to make.


I started coaching other mothers through my process. One after another, they were getting the same results - less stress, more energy and more peace of mind at the end of the day. 


This is how Calm Mama™ was born, as the way for busy moms to escape burnout and embrace self-care so you can get back to feeling like you again. If you're feeling alone in trying to figure out how to manage it all, calm your stress and worries, and still take care of yourself, I'm here for you. I've been there and know how much you LOVE being a mother and pour everything you have into loving and caring for your family. But, it's time to recharge and restore yourself and fill your cup too :)
